Walk Between the Lines
My name is Martijn, I live in Rotterdam, the Netherlands and this is where I post music I like. I'm a biochemist by training, but after flunking my Ph.D., I'm now doing the whole underachieving McJob thing.

I'm editor-in-chief of Dutch music magazine KindaMuzik and sometimes I blog for progressive blog Sargasso. No politics (or anything else for that matter) here though; just music.

You can find me on Last.fm, Facebook and Twitter too.

Oh, and I'm sorry, but I don't have time to listen to or review your band's EP on Bandcamp - there are not enough people who speak Dutch to be able to make a decent living as a music journalist - but I'm sure it's excellent.

docshoe:

I’ve just recently started digging through the back-catalog of the prolific-like-a-motherfucker Billy Childish.  Here’s “She’s Just Fifteen Years Old” from his early band The Milkshakes.

PS: It just occurs to me, has anyone else noticed it’s a staple of Rock & Roll music to write songs about underage girls?  And I’m not just talking about guys like Iggy Pop and David Lee Roth here.  Remember that Chuck Berry tune, “Little Queenie”?  That line, “She’s too cute to be a minute over seventeen”?  And then Berry went to jail for violating the Mann Act.  Somebody should look into this.

My favourite underage girl song is Demonica by The Dwarves (Spotify).
